Andrés Cepeda plays Melbourne tonight, Friday 6 November 2026, at The Melbourne Pavilion in Kensington. It is the last stop of his Australia 2026 tour, after Brisbane on Wednesday and Sydney on Thursday. If you have a ticket, or you are still deciding, here is what you need for tonight: times, how to get there, parking and where to eat Colombian food before or after.
Tonight's details
- When: Friday 6 November, 8pm to 11pm (times from the Eventbrite listing)
- Where: The Melbourne Pavilion, 135-157 Racecourse Road, Kensington VIC 3031
- Organiser: G2 Entertainment
- Tickets: sold on Eventbrite. Melbourne Insider lists prices from AU$199.31 to AU$509.56. Check Eventbrite for what is still available.
- Good to know: the listing says no refunds, and under 18s need to come with a parent or legal guardian.
The Pavilion is a heritage-listed art deco building on the edge of the CBD, with a big timber-arched hall that holds up to about 1,300 people standing. It is mostly a function venue, so the night will feel closer to a big Colombian party than a stadium show.
Who is Andrés Cepeda
Andrés Cepeda was born in Bogotá in 1973. He started as the lead singer of the rock-pop band Poligamia, then went solo and became one of Colombia's best-known voices in bolero, balada and romantic pop. His album El carpintero went quadruple platinum in Colombia. He was a coach on La Voz Colombia in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and Wikipedia credits him with a Latin Grammy win from eight nominations.
For a lot of Colombians in Melbourne, his songs are the soundtrack of family parties back home. Expect a crowd that sings along.
Brisbane and Sydney first
The tour opened in Brisbane on Wednesday 4 November at the Eatons Hill Hotel and played Sydney's State Theatre on Thursday 5 November. Melbourne closes it. If you missed the Brisbane or Sydney shows and can travel, tonight is the last chance to see him in Australia this year.
How to get to the Melbourne Pavilion
Tram: take route 57 from Elizabeth Street in the CBD to stop 23 (Stubbs Street). The venue is right across Racecourse Road.
Train: take the Upfield line from the city to Flemington Bridge station. The Pavilion's own directions say it is about a one-minute walk north along Racecourse Road.
Car or rideshare: coming north on CityLink, take the Racecourse Road exit, turn left, then make an immediate left into Stubbs Street.
Parking: street parking outside is limited. Weekday restrictions end at 6:30pm, so by showtime most spots are unrestricted. The venue has a small car park at the back for about 12 cars. For large events it sometimes opens a free car park on Langford Street, about 850m away, with a free shuttle bus. Check the venue's Facebook page tonight to see if it is running.
The show is listed to finish at 11pm. Plan your trip home on PTV before you go, because late services on a Friday can change.
