Latinhood (“we”, “us”) runs latinhood.com, a guide to Latin businesses, member deals, events and a community Market in Australia, based in Melbourne, Victoria. By using Latinhood you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You can browse places, deals and events without an account. A free account lets you save places, deals and events, see contact details on the Market and post there. Member deals need a paid membership.
Business information comes from the businesses themselves, from public sources such as Google and the business's own website and social pages, and from our team. We work to keep it accurate but cannot verify every detail; check important things (opening hours, prices) with the business.
A business owner, or someone they authorise, can claim a listing. We review each claim, and each business has one editor. Owners are responsible for what they publish, including honouring member deals as published.
Member deals are offered by the businesses, not by Latinhood. What you buy from a business is between you and that business.
Market listings are posted by members or shared from public Latin community groups on Facebook and WhatsApp. Shared listings link to the original post and to the poster's profile there. Latinhood is not a party to any sale, rental or job, does not handle payments between people and does not check items, rooms or offers.
Contact details on the Market are shown only to signed-in users. Use them only to reply to the listing; never for spam or to collect people's details.
Everything posted is reviewed before it appears, with the help of automated checks, and must follow our Community guidelines and Market rules. We may decline, edit for formatting, translate automatically, or remove content, and suspend accounts that break these terms. When you post, you confirm you have the right to share it and give us permission to show it on Latinhood and in our promotion of it. You can ask us to remove your content at any time.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to your email secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Don't use someone else's account or create accounts to get around limits.
You can delete your account at any time from Me → Settings. The Delete your account page explains what is erased and what we have to keep.
Paid memberships are optional monthly subscriptions in Australian dollars, billed through our payment provider, Stripe. By starting one you authorise us to charge your payment method the plan price each month until you cancel. Prices include any applicable taxes.
You can cancel at any time from Me → Manage membership. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep your benefits until then. Our Refunds & cancellation policy explains when we give refunds.
Founder Member pricing stays the same for as long as your membership stays active without a break. If it lapses, re-joining is at the price then current. We may change prices for new members at any time and will email existing paying members before changing theirs.
If a payment fails we may retry it and pause your member benefits until it is paid. Latinhood is not a lender and does not provide credit or financial products.
When we run a giveaway, entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Entrants must be 18 or older and live in Australia. Each person may hold one free entry per giveaway plus any extra free entries we expressly offer; paid memberships may include extra entries as stated for that giveaway.
Each giveaway's page shows the prize and closing date. The winner is drawn at random after entries close, announced on our Instagram and contacted using the details given at entry. If a winner cannot be contacted or is ineligible, we may redraw. Prizes are not transferable. Our staff and their immediate families cannot enter. We may disqualify duplicated, automated or false entries. Instagram is not a sponsor of our promotions. A giveaway's own published rules prevail over this section.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, Latinhood is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for the goods, services, rooms or jobs offered by businesses or other users, or for losses arising from dealings between you and them.
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we will tell members by email about changes that matter. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. For questions, use the Contact page.
