Community guidelines

Last updated: October 2026

Latinhood is a place for the Latin community in Australia to find each other: businesses, deals, events and a Market. Everything people add is reviewed before it goes live. These guidelines say what we publish and what we take down.

Everywhere on Latinhood

Be honest. Real prices, real photos, real details.
Be respectful. No hate, harassment, threats or discrimination based on nationality, race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age or visa status.
Keep it legal in Australia. Nothing that breaks the law or helps someone else break it.
Respect privacy. Don't post anyone's personal details, photos or documents without their permission.
No spam, no scams, no pyramid or “get rich” schemes.
Post in Spanish or English, whichever is easier for you.

Market posts

One item, room or offer per listing, in the right category, with a fair description.
Photos must be of the actual item or place, and yours to share.
Mark it sold or rented when it's gone, so nobody chases something that isn't there.
Jobs must meet Australian minimum pay and conditions; rooms and jobs can't discriminate.

Market rules & safety

Businesses and deals

List a real business that serves the community in Australia. Latin-owned, Latin-run or Latin-focused businesses come first.
Only the owner, or someone the owner authorised, can claim and edit a business page. Each business has one editor.
Opening hours, contact details and photos must be current and belong to the business.
A member deal must be honoured as published. If you can't honour it any more, pause it from My business.

Events

Events are gathered from organisers' public pages and from suggestions sent to us. Tell us about a Latin event through the Contact page.
Dates, venue and ticket links must be accurate. Free means free.
Organisers can ask us to correct or remove an event at any time.

Reviews and photos

Latinhood doesn't host user reviews or comments. Star ratings on business pages come from Google. Photos on business pages come from the business, its public profiles or Google. If a photo of yours is used without permission, tell us and we'll remove it.

What we do when something breaks the rules

We review new posts and edits before they go live, with help from automated checks, and we may decline them.
We remove content that breaks these guidelines or the law, and may suspend accounts that keep doing it.
Anyone can report a Market listing with “Report listing”, or anything else through the Contact page.
If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person will look again.
